2025 Ladies Evening Golf Social

What’s it All About:

  • Ladies Evening Golf Social is a 9-hole, social league organized to be casual and fun, with a touch of friendly competition. We aim to keep the competition fair and enjoyable for everyone no matter their skill level.

  • LEGS is played on Tuesdays. A block of starting times is reserved for women only on Tuesdays from 4:20-6:20, but you can play any time that is convenient for you.

  • Each round has two games happening for all players – a team game and on-course games. In the team game 2-person teams play a net best ball or scramble or another fun format. The on-course games can be longest putt made, closest to the hole, chip-ins, etc.

  • The weekly games are two-person team formats. You can play with the same partner each week or change it up. If you don’t have a partner, the Golf Shop can help find you one. And yes, you can play with another two-person team or play in a threesome with one person playing on both teams.

  • Other FUN rules:
    • Pick It Up
All players will receive a max number of strokes they can take on any one hole.  Usually, double bogey plus any handicap strokes allowed on the hole. So, if you’re stuck in a bunker, can’t get it over the water or just having a bad hole – don’t worry! Pick it up, take the max score and go to the next hole.
    • It’s Good
Nobody likes to grind over a 3-footer. If the ball is inside 3 feet (the length of a typical putter), pick it up – it’s good (a gimmie). Make sure to count gimmies as a stroke in your score for the hole.
    • Play It Up
Ever hit a good drive only to end up in a divot or bad area. No worries, you can move the ball and give yourself a good lie anytime you’re in the fairway. Just don’t go closer to the hole.
    • Just Drop One
Did you hit one out of bounds or can’t find your ball? Under traditional rules you should go back to where you hit from, add a penalty stroke, and hit again – no fun! In LEGS, just drop a ball near where it was lost or went out of bounds, add a penalty stroke, and play on.
    • Whiff It, Whiff It Good
We have all made our best effort to hit a ball, only to completely miss it. If that happens it doesn’t count as a stroke; and nobody saw it either! Try again until you hit it, hit it good.

  • All players will receive a handicap based on their official golf handicap or what would be a good 9-hole score for them. An official golf handicap is not necessary to get started.
A handicap tells you how many strokes to take off your GROSS or actual score to get a NET score.  For example:
    • Player shoots around 42 for 9-holes = 9-hole handicap of 6
    • Player shoots around 48 for 9-holes = 9-hole handicap of 12
    • Player shoots around 54 for 9-holes = 9-hole handicap of 18

We only need an estimation of what a good 9-hole score is for you. And it only takes a few 9-hole rounds to have an official handicap established.

  • The weekly team game will award points to every player based on the number of teams that play each Tuesday. For example, if there are 10 teams playing, the players on the winning team receive 10 points each, 2nd place 9 points, etc. At the end of the season there will be a bonus pool paid to the top point winning individuals.

  • If you want to play during the 4:20-6:20 block, please call the Golf Shop to make a starting time. Any other times can be made online or by calling the Shop. And you can make times up to seven days in advance.

  • Dues:  $40 for the season includes all weekly prizes, the bonus pool, and an end-of-season dinner.
